Over time the doors on your kitchen cabinets may start to sag, showing uneven gaps or alignment, this can usually be fixed using a phillips or flat head screw driver. This diagram shows a typical concealed hinge with the door in an open position. Your hinges may look a little different but the basic functions are all similar. The functions of the screws are as follows:
A: fixed door screws – used to permanently fix the hinge cup to the door, just check these are tight.
B: adjustable cabinet screws – fixes the mounting block to the inside of the cabinet, and allows the doors to be adjusted vertically (up and down).
These can come loose and cause the door to drop down, adjust accordingly.
C: locking screw – used to lock the arm in place once any sideways adjustments have been made (note that it needs to be loosened before screw D can be turned)
D: adjusting screw – used to adjust the door horizontally (adjust accordingly to move the door from side to side).
